"Party with a difference" Gadkari recalls Advani's phrase.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari cautioned the BJP against repeating the mistakes made by the Congress in the past, during an executive meeting of the Goa BJP. He said that the BJP has been a "party with a difference" - a phrase used by veteran leader LK Advani.
Gadkari stated that the people elected the BJP due to the mistakes of the Congress, but warned that "if we commit the same mistakes, then there will be no point in their exit (from power) and our entry."
The Union Minister urged the party cadre to understand how the BJP differs from other parties and to use politics to bring social and economic reforms. He also stressed the need to eradicate corruption from the country.
Gadkari criticized the trend of "playing politics along caste lines" in Maharashtra and said
he has decided not to follow this path. He (laughingly) warned that "whoever talks about caste will get a strong kick."
The Minister appealed to the party workers to visit every constituency in Goa and strengthen the organization to ensure the BJP's victory in the 2027 assembly elections.
