Dahisar and Bhayander will have a Link Road very soon!

Construction of the Dahisar - Bhayander link road is underway, with the tender process for the Dahisar to Mumbai nearing its final stage. MLA Pratap Sarnaik has informed us that the groundbreaking ceremony for the link road will connect the Mira-Bhayander West area, will be held in August, and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will be present for the event. This road will alleviate traffic congestion in Dahisar Check Naka and East Belt as well as provide toll-free access for citizens.

Currently, there is only one road connecting Mira-Bhayander and Vasai-Virar to Mumbai, which necessitates paying a toll at Dahisar Check Naka from the National Highway. Construction of this road will address these issues and provide improved facilities.

Residents of Bhayander West currently have to travel from the east via Check Naka to reach Mumbai. Consequently, there has been a long-standing demand to extend the Dahisar West Link Road to Mira-Bhayander West. MLA Sarnaik submitted a letter to the previous state government and Mumbai Municipal Corporation two years ago, highlighting this need.

In a meeting organized by Mumbai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Eqbal Singh Chahal on December 16, 2021, MLA Sarnaik, along with Additional Commissioner P. Velarasu, MMRDA Additional Commissioner Govind Raj, Mira Bhayander Municipal Commissioner Dilip Dhole, and others were present. Given the high cost of the road, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who also serves as the Urban Development Minister followed up on the matter. Mumbai Municipal Corporation will allocate approximately 3 thousand crores for this project, as the tender process nears its final stage.
