Mira – Bhayander city to get customer information centre
Mira – Bhayander city will soon have a customer information centre where it will contain detailed information about birth & death record, development work and the rest. Prior to this, the services of private organization were used to handle matters in this regard.
Mira – Bhayander Municipal Corporation got established in the year 2002 but since the financial income of the twin sister city is small, their details are enlisted in the ‘D’ class. Initially, the private organization would collect and maintain the city’s birth and death records, property information, development works information, application, order and all other documents. So, MBMC used to spend approximately 80 lakhs to 1 crore annually to obtain all the information that the private organization collected.
MBMC Commissioner, Dilip Dhole informed that it has been decided to establish an independent customer information centre in Mira – Bhayander. Experienced professional consultants’ advice will be taken into consideration as an information centre is being built. An expenditure of seven crores has been quoted for the development of this centre, of which in this year’s budget 3 crores has already been allocated for the work. MBMC wants this customer information centre to be functional soon.
