Padma Shri recipients join Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh
As many as 300 individuals joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Chhattisgarh just a few months ahead of the state assembly elections. These persons include a former IAS officer Rajpal Singh Tyagi and two Padma Shri recipients Ajun Sharma and Radheyshyam Barle. Chhattisgarh’s in-charge Om Mathur, the party’s state president Arun Sao, former Chief Minister and BJP national vice-president Raman Singh and other senior leaders were present as they welcomed the new joiners to the party.
The party’s state president Arun Sao expressed that people in Chhattisgarh are disappointed by the misrule of the Congress government. Now the public looks towards BJP with hope and trust. “Renowned artists, including Padma Shri recipients, former IAS, businessmen, social workers, heads of separate communities and other sections of society entered BJP, which is a good sign for the party.” He said, “Impressed by the traditions, programmes, ideology of BJP and works done by the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre, people in large numbers entered the party to weed out Congress from the state.”
Many famous and internationally recognized personalities have joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the last few months.
