Team India’s new kit sponsor Adidas recently launched new jerseys for the Indian cricket team. The video released by Adidas India revealed the three kits for Tests, T20Is and ODIs. The company released a dark blue jersey without a collar for the T20 format; a light blue jersey with a collar for ODI; and a white jersey for Test cricket. The launch comes ahead of the crucial ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia at The Oval starting June 7. Team India will wear the new Test kit for the match.
Indian cricket board BCCI had announced that Adidas would be the new kit sponsor of the national team. Earlier this year, it was reported about their deal and BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed the move on Twitter without giving the financial details or the contract duration. Shah tweeted, “I’m pleased to announce @BCCI’s partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor. We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard, @adidas.”
The newly launched jerseys by Adidas for Team India have quickly gained popularity among fans, who feel proud to wear them and show their love and support for the country. Surpassing boundaries and bringing together fans from various backgrounds, wearing an Indian jersey has become a symbol of unity and national pride. Whether you are cheering from the stands or watching from home, the Team India jersey is a way for fans to feel connected to the team and be part of the cricketing journey.
GM of Adidas India, Neelendra Singh said “This is our moment to present cricket to the world with high-quality performance products for our athletes. We look forward to creating moments with our consumers through the most celebrated sport in India. Adidas truly believes in the potential of cricket in India and will accelerate growth through this partnership with BCCI.”
